The automotive storage market has always been a major growth engine for NAND storage manufacturers. According to recently released market research data, the current annual global auto sales volume is around 70-90 million units, with recent fluctuations related to the pandemic and a shortage of auto chips. Although many NAND storage devices are currently used in vehicles, they are still mainly used in small capacity applications, including car navigation, driving recorders, digital electronic dashboards, electronic center consoles and audio visual equipment.
