NOMAD’s power systems can do everything stationary energy storage can – like increase reliability and make renewable energy dispatchable – while providing mobility. They meet the power needs of any application or project by delivering power where and when it’s needed most. Then, unlike a fixed storage asset, NOMAD’s systems can be redeployed to meet other needs. NOMAD’s systems bring tremendous value to disaster recovery, on-demand network support, and off-grid power applications.

Mari McClure, president and CEO of Green Mountain Power, said the Traveler offers a variety of applications and provides another significant innovation to join GMP’s storage fleet, increasing resiliency and reliability, while reducing costs for customers.

“Green Mountain Power brings technologies to all of our customers that reduce carbon and costs, and keep Vermontians powered up,” said McClure. “The mobile storage associated with our generation will allow us to power our NOMAD – which contains 2.0 MWh of capacity – with clean energy and deploy that energy where it is needed.”

Jay Bellows, CEO of NOMAD, said large-scale transportable storage is a game-changer. “Our products are mobile, so they can deliver power in a range of applications and at a speed that stationary energy storage systems can’t match. Our team identified a need in the market, and through American innovation and New England ingenuity, we were able to deliver a product that will bring benefits across the country,” he said. -he declares.
