BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office needs your help in locating two burglars they believe have targeted storage facilities throughout Baton Rouge.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is looking for two men they believe are on a burglary spree at local storage facilities. They stole nearly $5,000 in a single burglary, according to the sheriff’s office.

“It’s a shame we have to worry about that, but these days we do,” said Sharon’Ann Bourgeois, StorageMax building manager.

She went on to say that they were doing everything they could to make sure everyone’s personal items were safe.

“We kind of keep everybody tricky where they need to be,” Bourgeois said. “The first floor guest code will not work on upper floors. We have cameras all over the facility, not just at entry and exit points. »

There are stronger locks you can use to keep burglars from doing what this pair did – cut them.

“They’re called a round disc lock. It is very thick and deep. It is therefore very difficult to cut with jack cutters. We have to use a grinder when we have to remove them for tenants. For me, the peace of mind is well worth the $11,” said Bourgeois.
