Gallery: The Best of the Handmade Bicycle Show Australia 2021, Part 1
Held in Williamstown opposite Melbourne’s CBD, the Handmade Bicycle Show Australia (HBSA) has just ended for another year. Over three days, a large shipbuilding hangar was filled with nearly 30 of Australia’s most passionate, skilled and forward-thinking custom bike builders and companies.
There were world famous names such as Baum, Bastion, and Llewellyn. And between them there was a healthy dose of bright-eyed builders and quiet veterans. The vast majority build on Australian soil, while some outsource their unique designs to overseas manufacturers.
In this four-part gallery series, I’ll cover a wide range of builders and motorcycles that made up this year’s show. This is part one and look at the bikes from Llewellyn, Bastion, The lost workshop, Devlin, Kumo, and Fikas. You can see all of HBSA’s past and present covers here.
Note: Some images show crowds close to people not wearing masks. This complies with local regulations – Victoria had no community cases of COVID-19 at the time of the show.
